Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with

BlitzBooks is a quoting and invoicing application operated by Social Agencies (“we”, “us”), based in Cape Town, South Africa. By creating an account or using BlitzBooks (“the service”), you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You must be operating a legitimate business and be old enough to enter into a contract.

3. Subscription, trial and billing

• BlitzBooks costs R200 per month, or R2,000 per year (two months free). Prices are in South African Rand and include VAT where applicable.
• New accounts get a 7-day free trial. To start it you add a debit or credit card. We check the card with a R1 charge that is refunded immediately; nothing else is charged during the trial.
• When the trial ends, your subscription starts automatically and your card is charged R200, then R200 every month until you cancel. The date of the first charge is shown when you start the trial and in Settings → App → Subscription.
• You can cancel the trial at any time before it ends in Settings, and you will not be charged. After the trial, you need an active subscription to keep creating and editing documents. Your existing data stays safe and viewable either way.
• Payments are processed securely by Paystack. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. We do not provide pro-rata refunds for partial periods unless required by law.
• We may change pricing or plans with reasonable notice. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
• Accounts created before public launch (“legacy” accounts) remain free as a thank-you, at our discretion.

4. Your data

Your business and client data is yours. You can export all of it from within the app at any time. We process it only to provide the service, in line with our Privacy Policy and South Africa’s POPIA. Each account is isolated so no other user can see your data.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use BlitzBooks for anything unlawful, don’t attempt to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, and don’t resell or share access to a single account across separate businesses. We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the service or breach these terms.

6. You are responsible for your numbers

BlitzBooks is a tool to help you quote, invoice and track payments. It calculates VAT and produces documents from the information you enter, but you remain responsible for the accuracy of your quotes, invoices, tax and SARS submissions. BlitzBooks is not a substitute for professional accounting or tax advice.

7. Availability

We work hard to keep BlitzBooks fast and available, and we keep regular backups, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. The service is provided “as is”.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or loss of data, arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop using BlitzBooks and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms. On termination you can still export your data for a reasonable period before it is removed.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll update the date above, and significant changes will be communicated where reasonable. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
